At Coade we are often asked to undertake portrait commissions. Though Stephen prefers to work directly from life he is happy to work from his own photographs and has also worked from clients personal photographs for posthumous portraits. The style very much reflects the individual being portrayed, the finished portrait can be produced in Coade or any colour terracotta as well as the more traditional material of bronze. The subjects of portraits can be people or animals and can be head, head and shoulders and bas relief.
