Roman Imperial Eagle

Commission for a private client, these eagles are on four corners of the stair hall ceiling in a 18th century house.

Eagles (aquila) in Roman civilisation were used to symbolise power, glory and authority.

This house was featured in House and Garden Magazine Here is the link to the magazine and the article which shows our work.
