Head of Thalia

Thalia is one of the Three Graces and is often depicted with her sisters in Neoclassical sculpture. Thalia is said to represent youth and beauty.

Coade Head of Thalia is influenced by an original 2nd century Roman bust that resembles Greek models of the late fourth to early third century B.C.

The Muse of comedy and pastoral poetry, inspired by a 2nd Century Roman original. The original can be found in the Vatican in Rome. Thalia was one of the Nine Muses of Greek and Roman Mythology.
